  • These google ads look horrible.

I've got a few links I'd like to share this time. I don't know how long these will stay up, though.

This is quite interesting, and deals with color, instead of bendy lines.

This is also something I hate about facebook ads. Can't we have some filtering going on? Also, how exactly do they co-opt my pictures?

Probably my Gundam of choice. Pink is the color of happiness.

So. Plans for the next few days include a trip to the countryside on Saturday, a friend's birthday party on Sunday, class on Monday, and then we're going to Hainan next weekend!

It's a pretty interesting article about the origin of some video game names. A lot of it is speculation, and some parts are clearly opinion, but it's a good, albeit long read for anyone interested. Also lifted from /., it's a little painful because the author isn't familiar with Japanese, and therefore botches some stuff, but nonetheless, it managed to take up a good chunk of my free time.

Speaking of /., there was an article about the destruction of mathematics by the schooling system. Also an interesting read, I won't reproduce the link here, but the author makes good points, and is quite prone to metaphor, which I am a big fan of. It's a big shift in paradigm, but I don't oppose it. Especially for the majority of Liberal Arts people.

In other news, I've gotten more progress, and an update should come soon...at least by the time I'm back in America.

I'm also nearing idol status, which is a pretty interesting place for me. I'm sure my dad's used to it, seeing as how I don't know of a single person who doesn't like him (save my mom, which is a story in itself), which is distinct from people who don't hate him. I'm sure there's at least a few people who don't like me very much.

Japanese class is almost over, people are coming to China, and next week my sister finally gets out of school!

  • umm...so I guess now that I'm cross-posting these to my facebook, I should change the way I do comments.

I've somehow developed insomnia, and it's pretty unsettling. I've never really had a problem going to sleep if I was tired, and now, I seem to have issues with going to sleep at all. It's a really bad feeling, and I really have no way of describing how I feel, except to say that I'm always restless, and tired. It feels horrible. Maybe I should try drinking myself to sleep?

This summer is shaping up to be pretty awesome.

  • In any case, I'll never see her again. I'm glad that part of my life is done with. However, I do have another issue to deal with, and it involves my sister. Expect a more concrete update in 2 months.

Man, so much has happened to me in China.

Also, what the hell happened to Xanga. It's like, a haven for idiots now.

    EDIT: /em coughs.

  • erm well. It's been over a month since I got back to China. This has been neglected for a long time.

In other news, xanga is still blocked by China.

More current news, I went on a blind date ....three days ago?...yeah, I'm still trying to get rid of the horrible images burned into my retinas

I'm probably going to use this more often.

is what I say all the time, but never happens.

    EDIT:
man, i messed up my front page with google adsense.
